Our grandparents had a farm in Lyman, Washington. Growing up we would make the long drive to the farm and smell the fresh made food of the season as we entered the rustic farm home. After a quick greeting with our grandparents we would run out to the back porch where grandma placed all she had prepared on the white deep freezer. The farm house was not glorious or grand but it was where they instilled in us the value of farm fresh food and family.
